Notes
These are all the notes on the neck of the guitar up to the 19th fret. Every bassist needs to know these to write bass lines. You can also move the major and minor scales anywhere on the neck of the guitar by picking out the notes. EX: to play the G Major scale you would start on the 3rd fret of the E string. EX: to play the A minor scale you would start on the 5th fret of the E string.
Major scale
you can play this scale anywhere on the neck of the guitar. when writing a song if the guitarist is playing the G chord you would want to play the G major Scale in rythym with the guitar.
Minor Scale
Same goes for the minor scale if the guitarist is playing the A minor chord you would want to play the A minor scale in rythym with the guitar.
